The Viking Museum Ladby

Kerteminde city

Kerteminde city is an experience in itself, with the small, cozy alleys and beautiful, old fishing houses. Take a walk along the Little Beach, where the fish shop Boesen & Søn sells live fish from hut barrels, the fresher it will not be.

In Troldegade, you can smell the freshly baked waffles from the Waffle House, which has been voted the best ice cream house on several occasions. With the ice in hand, you can enjoy the atmosphere of the new Renaissance harbor, where bathing, fishing and holiday life are living at a leisurely pace.

The old harbor in Kerteminde

On the opposite side of Langebro lies the old harbor, where you can still experience the characteristic light blue fishing boats. At the end of the harbor you can eat fresh fish fillets and other delicacies from the sea at Boris` Fish, an outdoor restaurant where you eat at cozy tables / benches overlooking the dinghy harbor.

Kerteminde has many restaurants and cafés in all price ranges. Dine exclusively at the lovely fish restaurant Rudolf Mathis. Enjoy Italien food at Restaurant Firenze or get a good steak at Taurus Steak House. Enjoy good Danish food at Tornøes Hotel and lovely Asian food at Phi Phi or a light lunch at Lulu`s Café and Brasserie Langegade 2.
